Gobal Celebration!

Peace In Jerusalem

Dear Friends,

I feel the below suggestion i got from Dvora in Jerusalem deserves everyone's attention:

"We got the idea of getting people from all nations to stand holding hands surrounding the Old City of Jerusalem and singing togeather one song of unity in many languages, on the 22nd of may for the brakethrough celebration. How dose it feel?"

Work is already going on to create a world wide meditation at the midpoint of the Fifth day of the Galactic Underworld, May 20-23 also as part of the Breakthrough Celebration. I am writing to you to get feedback on the idea of having Peace in Jerusalem a focus of this and create a world wide participation with those singing in peace in Jerusalem. This could then be combined locally with meditations or dikshas or any other spiritual practice desired but the focus would be to participate in Peace in Jerusalem in an experiential way.

Let me point out first that I am allergic to the idea of meditating for peace, praying for peace, walking for peace or any of that. Why? If you take for granted that you do not have peace how can you ever have it? Hence, I believe in meditating in Peace, singing in peace etc, in being the peace. This is not just a hairsplitting point pf semantics, but a really critical point to understand for having peace. The idea is not to do something that may lead to peace in the future, but to actually be and express the peace.

What I suggest then is a non-denominational day of meditation, deeksha, and siging in peace in Jerusalem at the midpoint of the Fifth day, which would obviously include a lot of work of coordination and use of modern technology to create an experience of unison. I would like to hear what you feel about this and have suggestions as to how an initiative may be crafted around it.
